Karl “Dyzee” Alba is a legendary and world-renowned figure in the breaking community, known not only for his trailblazing dance career but also for his lifelong contributions to the culture and the professionalization of the art form.

Breaking since 1994 and organizing events since 1999, Dyzee is a 13-time world champion and a proud member of the world-renowned Supernaturalz and 7 Commandos crews. He is recognized as an innovator of many foundational moves and is a pioneer of the Thread style. Dyzee is globally celebrated for his unique and iconic footwork, particularly his twirling "Dizzy Shadowlegs" style.

Beyond the floor, Dyzee has profoundly impacted the global scene as a teacher, mentor, and coach to numerous world champions and legendary breakers. He was the first international Bboy vlogger, using media to educate and inspire the community worldwide.

A visionary in developing the breaking industry, Dyzee created and launched the first criteria-based judging system, OUR System, which has been implemented internationally to bring consistency and professionalism to competitions. He also founded the first Breakin’-specific shoe company and is a part-owner of multiple breaking clubs around the world.

Committed to community-building, Dyzee has initiated and helped grow many well-known breaking organizations, constantly striving to unify and empower the scene. His current roles as Director of BLOC and Breaking Advisor to the President of the International Dance Organization (IDO) reflect his enduring dedication to elevating breaking globally.

Uroš Skulj, also known as bboy Urkius, has been a driving force in breaking for more than 20 years. As Slovenia’s official representative for breaking and the current IDO Chairperson for Breaking, he bridges global leadership with deep community roots. Alongside his team, he also runs a dance school in Ljubljana for over a decade, focused on breaking, hip hop, and jazz/contemporary, where they have produced over 15 original performances as part of the school’s creative and educational mission.

Urkius is the founder and coach of Bastarts Crew (founded in 2011), Slovenia’s breaking crew. Under his leadership, Bastarts have won eight consecutive national titles in the breaking national adult crew category. Dancers under his guidance consistently rank among the top performers in national solo breaking competitions. He is also a lecturer at Alma Mater Dance Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

A visionary organizer, he brought the first R16 battle with the O.U.R. Judging System to Slovenia in 2014 and continues to run local community battles under the BAM (Bast’a’move) banner in Ljubljana.

Beyond the floor, Urkius holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is a certified sports coach for dance—officially recognized by Slovenia’s Ministry of Education and Sport. Since 2013, he’s judged breaking competitions and now contributes to and8 as a junior system support member.

Whether mentoring young dancers, refining judging systems, or representing breaking on an international stage, Urkius remains committed to building the culture — for the community, by the community.
